From Kate
“Mountain biking opened up the world for me. It provided me with the opportunity to explore freely, face and overcome challenges, develop a stronger sense of self and connect with a passionate community of cyclists around the world. As I have matured in the sport, I have also had incredibly formative experiences training and racing alongside female friends and mentors that inspire me to dream big, aim high and just send it.
While the sport has grown tremendously in recent years, women and girls remain dramatically under-represented, in part because of limited opportunities and representation. I started the She Sends Foundation to change that.
The experiences women and girls have on two wheels are nothing short of transformative - whether they simply inspire a love of nature, create a new connection with one’s body or give rise to the self confidence to go big in life. Together, I hope we at the She Sends Foundation can create more access, opportunity, inspiration and community that will have a positive impact far beyond the world of cycling.”
